The analysis of the regulatory framework reveals that in Italy there is a large number of regu- latory and control bodies operating in the eletronic communications sector, both at central and at local levels, endowed with various powers and functions not always coordinated between them. This essay aims to analyze the peculiarities of the communica- tions regulatory system in Italy, with the purpose of verifying the compatibility between the bodies opera- ting in this sector and the sustainability of the Italian regulatory system as a whole.
