This study examines three epigraphic documents from two geographically distant provincial contexts that scholars have previously interpreted as evidence of analogous collective organisations. Although this hypothesis cannot be taken for granted, their comparative analysis will lead to reassess prevailing scholarly interpretations and propose a new interpretation of these cases.
