Pyrotechnology in Ceramic Production at Akragas between the 6th and 5th Centuries BC. The research project at the Akragas kerameikos outside Porta V, carried out in collaboration with the University of Bologna and the Archaeological and Landscape Park "Valley of the Temples" in Agrigento, offers the opportunity to take a close look at the strategies and technologies developed by Akragantine artisans as early as a few decades after the founding of the apoikia, through the construction of exceptionally large structures, capable of firing large batches of materials.
