In Italy, starting in the mid-seventies, there has been a gradual "sliding" towards territorial government techniques that increasingly recognize the role of private individuals, or at least the collaboration between public and private, in planning choices. In the last decade, with the appearing of the urban regeneration method on the scene of policies for containing land consumption, there have been a revival of the urban transformation public model, based on the planning of urban choices as a whole. From the new urban plans begins the path to the "right city", of everybody and for everybody
