Although the subject of translation has been an explicit object of philosophical reflection at least since Schleiermacher's memoir "Über die verschiedenen Methoden des Übersetzens" (1813) and the works of Wilhelm von Humboldt, such as "Einleitung zur Agamemnon" (1816), interest in exploring the relationship between philosophy and translation has grown significantly in recent decades. What is new, however, is the interest not only in translation as an object of philosophical reflection, but also in translated philosophy as a constituent part of the philosophical canon. This contribution explores the way the topic of translated philosophy can allow us to reshape the narrative of the history of philosophy by identifying new criteria for reading and analysis.

Abstract
Although the subject of translation has been an explicit object of philosophical reflection at least since Schleiermacher's memoir "Über die verschiedenen Methoden des Übersetzens" (1813) and the works of Wilhelm von Humboldt, such as "Einleitung zur Agamemnon" (1816), interest in exploring the relationship between philosophy and translation has grown significantly in recent decades. What is new, however, is the interest not only in translation as an object of philosophical reflection, but also in translated philosophy as a constituent part of the philosophical canon. This contribution explores the way the topic of translated philosophy can allow us to reshape the narrative of the history of philosophy by identifying new criteria for reading and analysis.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
