This contribution delves into the literature on social movements and collective action to explore the distinctiveness of relational outcomes, a critical yet underexplored aspect in existing studies. By synthesizing findings from diverse studies within the field, the research seeks to identify the unique characteristics and patterns that set relational outcomes apart from other types of movement consequences. Through a systematic and comprehensive review of the literature, this meta-analysis seeks to provide valuable insights into social movement studies, particularly concerning this specific category. The findings have the potential to inform future scholarship, guide empirical investigations, and deepen our understanding of the complex mechanisms at work in the outcomes of collective action. By surveying and critically evaluating existing studies, this contribution concludes with a working definition of "relational consequences of collective action," the significance of which will be further explored in the empirical contributions presented in the Special Issue.

Abstract
By surveying and critically evaluating existing studies, this contribution concludes with a working definition of "relational consequences of collective action," the significance of which will be further explored in the empirical contributions presented in the Special Issue.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
