Un protocollo innovativo per la messa in sicurezza del patrimonio culturale a rischio

An innovative methodology designed to perform plans for the mitigation of risk and subsequent redevelopment has been conceived and implemented. Two cities – in the list of UNESCO World Heritage - were chosen as case studies (Byblos in Lebanon and Mtskheta in Georgia), but the method is applicable to any property in danger: in fact, processing the data obtained through the in situ survey in October, 2013, fact sheets and summary tables of the degradation and risk assessment were produced, taking into account all the possible variables, so making the method universal, starting from on-field surveys and scientific investigation of building structures, materials such as bricks, mortars, etc. and a complete high-resolution digital photographic campaign.
