While economists are beginning to measure the societal value of goods produced by households in the home, sociologists still show to know little of the generative mechanisms through which relational goods and social capital are produced. The attempts to measure the value they bring to society (social value added), therefore, are approximate and sketchy. Since the crisis of our societies is not only economic but also and perhaps primarily social, that is relational, it becomes urgent need to bridge these gaps and develop an appropriate way to measure/evaluate not only and not so much what the "value" produced by Ots overall, but, in particular, which between them represent a real social capital, that is a resource where people can (or could) rely on in case of need .

Abstract
While economists are beginning to measure the societal value of goods produced by households in the home, sociologists still show to know little of the generative mechanisms through which relational goods and social capital are produced. The attempts to measure the value they bring to society (social value added), therefore, are approximate and sketchy. Since the crisis of our societies is not only economic but also and perhaps primarily social, that is relational, it becomes urgent need to bridge these gaps and develop an appropriate way to measure/evaluate not only and not so much what the "value" produced by Ots overall, but, in particular, which between them represent a real social capital, that is a resource where people can (or could) rely on in case of need .I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
