This study proposes change-point control charts for monitoring Time Between Events and Amplitude (TBEA) data. Using both a real-world case study and a simulation experiment, we evaluate the in-control statistical properties of two change-point control charts. We then compare the results obtained from these charts with those of a control chart specifically designed for monitoring TBEA data. The findings suggest that change-point control charts can be effectively used within the TBEA framework, providing valua-ble insights into the monitored process.

Abstract

This study proposes change-point control charts for monitoring Time Between Events and Amplitude (TBEA) data. Using both a real-world case study and a simulation experiment, we evaluate the in-control statistical properties of two change-point control charts. We then compare the results obtained from these charts with those of a control chart specifically designed for monitoring TBEA data. The findings suggest that change-point control charts can be effectively used within the TBEA framework, providing valua-ble insights into the monitored process.
