Identità e continuità dello Stato by Giorgio Ridolfi offers a lucid and stimulating analysis of the theoretical and legal issues concerning the identity and continuity of the state, drawing on institutionalism. Focusing on the institutionalist reading, and the relation between the analysis of the Author and the institutionalist view of Maurice Hauriou, I will highlight some theoretical challenges that arise, especially in relation to the relationship between the primacy of the State and the pluralism of institutions.
