This paper explores the regulatory framework regarding sustainable investment within the Eu-China comprehensive agreement on investment (Cai) with a specific focus on corporate social responsibility (Csr). After a reconstruction of the origin of the agreement, the study focuses on the Section of the Cai dedicated to the sustainable development. The analysis then shifts to the Csr regulatory framework and its evolution within the legal system of the People’s Republic of China, examining how the Cai’s provisions align with and integrate into the broader context of chinese legal framework.
