For women's health, the objectives of the Italian Recovery and Resilience Plan and the National Health Equity Program are an acknowledgement of the structural weaknesses of the Italian National Health Service, even though it was created precisely to resolve these weaknesses.

Abstract
After the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, the European Union equipped itself with the European Next Generation EU plan 2021-2026 supported by significant common funding (750 billion euros in July 2020). The conception of the subsequent Italian Recovery and Resilience Plan was much more for the country than the preparation of an emergency intervention (Gatti, 2024a)2. It focused attention on issues that had not previously had an organic intervention. For women, the implementation of the Next Generation EU and the subsequent Italian Recovery and Resilience Plan 2021-2026 meant the strengthening or new implementation of innovative policies for work and maternity. For women's health, then, The National Recovery and Resilience Plan 2021-2026 and the National Health Equity Program 2021-2027, also financed by European Union Funds, have meant taking charge of community medicine, regional gaps in the provision of Essential Levels of Care of the Italian National Health Service and strengthening the screenings for the early detection of female cancers. For women's health, the objectives of the Italian Recovery and Resilience Plan and the National Health Equity Program are an acknowledgement of the structural weaknesses of the Italian National Health Service, even though it was created precisely to resolve these weaknesses.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
