We would like to take this opportunity, in the fiftieth year of the Journal of Historical Geography’s (JHG) publication, to appreciate the work of the editors, authors, reviewers, and supporters who have made this journal into the success that it is today. The journal bridges geographical research in the arts and humanities and the environmental and social sciences, providing an international home for scholarship across geographical boundaries, interpretative methods, and historical periods. After revisiting some previous editorial appraisals of the journal’s progress and prospects, we will reflect on the work we have been conducting over the last five years, which has attempted to build on the foundations laid in the last five decades.

Abstract
We would like to take this opportunity, in the fiftieth year of the Journal of Historical Geography’s (JHG) publication, to appreciate the work of the editors, authors, reviewers, and supporters who have made this journal into the success that it is today. The journal bridges geographical research in the arts and humanities and the environmental and social sciences, providing an international home for scholarship across geographical boundaries, interpretative methods, and historical periods. After revisiting some previous editorial appraisals of the journal’s progress and prospects, we will reflect on the work we have been conducting over the last five years, which has attempted to build on the foundations laid in the last five decades.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
