Overview and data analysis of the Mt. Weld Rare Earth Elements Mining Project

The technical report presents an overview of the Mount Weld mining project, by the company LYNAS, for the exploration and extraction of Rare Earth Oxides, based on the publicly available information. The workflow of the mineral exploration activities has been discussed, with particular reference to the drilling, sampling and analysis phases, and especially to the geostatistical modeling of the deposit, in line with the Australian JORC certification. Based on the publicly available data, a synthetic block model, evidencing resources and reserves, has been carried out.

Il rapporto tecnico presenta una overview del progetto minerario Mount Weld, ad opera dell'azienda LYNAS, per l'esplorazione e l'estrazione di ossidi di terre rare (Rare Earth Oxides), sulla base delle informazioni pubbliche reperibili. Sono stati trattati il workflow delle attività di esplorazione minerarie, con particolare riferimento alle fasi di carotaggi e analisi, e soprattutto alla fase di modellazione del giacimento con tecniche geostatistiche, in linea con la certificazione australiana JORC. Sulla base dei dati pubblici reperiti, è stata effettuata una modellazione geostatistica sintetica del giacimento.
