In 2009, there was a special issue of Psychology of Aesthetics, Creativity, and the Arts devoted to rising stars in the field with 13 papers representing 15 young scholars. In the years, the field has grown and advanced. This special issue offers 19 papers by rising stars in the field of Creativity Studies. Papers focus on an array of topics, with the creative process, education, everyday creativity, theory, and measurement leading the way. There are also clusters of papers on more sociocultural forces that reflect a modern world that seems to face more challenges and crises than even 15 years ago. Other papers cover the dark side of creativity, the importance of resiliency and adaptability, but also about gender and diversifying experiences as well as creativity and artificial intelligence, one of the most notably societal advances that has had a specific impact on creativity.

Abstract

In 2009, there was a special issue of Psychology of Aesthetics, Creativity, and the Arts devoted to rising stars in the field with 13 papers representing 15 young scholars.
