The authors wish to provide further clarity to the following misleading sentence in the “Colostrum Quality” section of this article: The IgG concentration, in fact, is expected to be subject to a concentration or dilution effect, decreasing in the presence of longer hours of darkness, i.e., when the amount of BC produced is generally higher (Gavin et al., 2018). The corrected sentence reads as follows: The IgG concentration is expected to be subject to dilution (that is, it increases in correspondence with longer hours of darkness; Gavin et al., 2018). The authors regret the error.
