We study a disordered d-dimensional Ising model defined by random couplings and quenched free energy. After some general results we concentrate on mean-field solutions. For these we prove that the critical value of β is the same as in the Ising case. A particular study is devoted to the mean-field solutions for fully frustrated configurations: using a Schwartz inequality for frustrated cubes we find the exact critical β. © 1992 Società Italiana di Fisica.
