Judicial assistant in Italy: a comparative reflection

In the international panorama, there is growing acknowledgment of the necessity for judges to receive support from staff members in executing their many responsibilities and activities. Although judicial assistants exhibit distinct characteristics, there are discernible and identifiable commonalities among the diverse models proposed worldwide. This investigation initiates with an examination of the Italian judicial assistant, which draws inspiration from international paradigms. Then it proceeds to scrutinize the primary challenges associated with this role, in light of the experiences within Italian courts. Subsequently, through a comparative analysis, the Italian judicial assistant's reality is juxtaposed with the challenges encountered in international systems, aiming to propose and formulate remedies to address the current deficiencies within the Italian system.
