Peirce sempre di nuovo. Carlo Sini e l'equivoco del foglio-mondo

The article focuses on the conceptual, and therefore practical, intercession that Carlo Sini starts from C.S Peirce’s cosmological reflections, with particular reference to the topic of existential graphs. The first section of the paper deals with the examination of the methodological issue that enables such an intercession, through the notion of pragmatic maxim and through the relation between continuity and discontinuity. Following this guideline, a path that embraces the hermeneutic posture of equivocation is outlined between Sini and Peirce, in the fully heuristic sense of the term. Indeed, the second part of the paper is addressed to the tear-free deformation that Sini activates with respect to Peirce’s notion of the sheet of assertion, towards the figuration of the world-sheet. According to Sini, the world-sheet is the ethical occasion for tracing the meaning of philosophy and of its impossible attempt to self-represent itself.
