Miguel de Barrios publishes the Fábula de Alfeo y Aretusa in is Flor de Apolo in Brussels in 1665. The printing place was since the authorities of the Jewish community of Amsterdam, twice denied printing permission to, despite the amendments introduced after the first refusal. This paper collects the variants of the “Fábula” of Mss. AD-XI-57 of Braidense Library, a unique and unstudied testimony of a version prior to the printed one and prior to corrections due in large part to censorship.
