Il lessico della vita politica nell’Histoire ancienne jusqu’à César e nei Faits des Romains

The contribution aims to analyse comparatively the lexicon concerning the institutions of public (especially political) life in the Histoire ancienne jusqu’à César and the Faits des Romains. Especially for the former of these two historiographical works, derived maximally from Latin sources, there is indeed a lack of specific lexical and translatological analysis. The investigation extends to the Tuscan translations of the two texts and their importance for Italian lexicography.

Il contributo intende analizzare comparativamente il lessico relativo alle istituzioni della vita pubblica (soprattutto politica) nell’Histoire ancienne jusqu’à César e nei Faits des Romains. Soprattutto per la prima di queste due opere storiografiche, derivate massimamente da fonti latine, manca infatti un’analisi lessicale e traduttologica puntuale. L’indagine si estende ai volgarizzamenti toscani dei due testi e alla loro importanza per la lessicografia italiana.
