Children's literature offers the opportunity to get to know and explore stories of sport and education, variously declined and recounted, in literary and iconographic treatises - novels, albums, comics, popularisation - that account for the pedagogical complexity of the sporting experience and the processes of body education: motifs such as the relationship with the coach and the family, the clash with stereotypes and expectations between desire and self-determination, the confrontation with history, ethical and political choices concern the playing field, decisions and human rights, consent, disabilities or marginality, and the emotional maturity connected to victory and defeat. The contribution illustrates an innovative didactic experience through children's books, carried out at the Department of Sciences for the Quality of Life in Rimini, University of Bologna, as part of the General and Social Pedagogy for Motor and Sport Sciences course.
