Sulle tracce della follia. Nuovi percorsi sulla psichiatria italiana contemporanea

This contribution explores the most promising trends in the contem- porary history of Italian psychiatry by analyzing three recently published volumes. The discussion considers the gender perspective, the oral histo- ry methodology, and changes from the post-war period to the phase of deinstitutionalization in order to offer new historiographical paths focused above all on daily practices, on the subjects involved, and on the memories linked to the liberation of psychiatric patients.
