Luci e ombre nella riforma del lavoro sportivo

Legislative Decree No. 36/2021 has significantly impacted the regulation of sports labour relations, overcoming, among other things, the traditional disregard for amateur work. The 2021 legislative reform tries to find an adequate balance between, on the one hand, strengthening protections for individuals who professionally engage in sports activities and, on the other hand, the need to respect the specificity of the sports system and the financial stability of the sports sector organisations. Against this background, the article analyses the piece of legislation passed in 2021, dealing with its most relevant issues.
