This article delves into the semiotics of objects and their interplay with cinematic works, examining how cultural objects mediate meaning through their textual and material dimensions. It emphasizes the dual nature of objects as both subjects of interpretation and tools of interaction. The study explores the factitive modality of objects, their role in manipulating user behavior, and the significance of interfaces, ergonomics, and prosthetics in defining user-object relationships. Special attention is given to the cinematic realm, where identity is negotiated through numerical and specific dimensions, showcasing the transformative potential of digital restoration. The analysis concludes by addressing the “forms of life” of cultural objects, highlighting their role in bridging historical, aesthetic, and functional aspects within dynamic cultural frameworks.

Abstract
This article delves into the semiotics of objects and their interplay with cinematic works, examining how cultural objects mediate meaning through their textual and material dimensions. It emphasizes the dual nature of objects as both subjects of interpretation and tools of interaction. The study explores the factitive modality of objects, their role in manipulating user behavior, and the significance of interfaces, ergonomics, and prosthetics in defining user-object relationships. Special attention is given to the cinematic realm, where identity is negotiated through numerical and specific dimensions, showcasing the transformative potential of digital restoration. The analysis concludes by addressing the “forms of life” of cultural objects, highlighting their role in bridging historical, aesthetic, and functional aspects within dynamic cultural frameworks.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
