In this paper, I argue that three fragments should be added to the four traditionally ascribed to Epicurus’ letter Πρὸϲ τοὺϲ ἐν Μυτιλήνῃ φιλοϲόφουϲ. The analysis of the fragments allows us to define the role of the letter in Epicurus’ production, its doctrinal character, the cultural context in which it was written.
