Many artifacts bearing cuneiform inscriptions were discovered by the various missions that carried out archaeological research on Failaka island since 1958. These inscriptions have all been assigned a new identifying siglum—CFa (= Cuneiform [text from] Failaka)—which will henceforth serve as the standard designator for cuneiform texts from Failaka. All of these documents are edited herein. In addition, an evaluation of textual information and reconstruction of Failaka's history before the Persian Empire is offered.

Abstract
Many artifacts bearing cuneiform inscriptions were discovered by the various missions that carried out archaeological research on Failaka island since 1958. These inscriptions have all been assigned a new identifying siglum—CFa (= Cuneiform [text from] Failaka)—which will henceforth serve as the standard designator for cuneiform texts from Failaka. All of these documents are edited herein. In addition, an evaluation of textual information and reconstruction of Failaka's history before the Persian Empire is offered.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
