演劇における音はどのように演出されるか。本稿は、実際に劇場で音空間を制作している、作曲家でボローニャ歌劇場の芸術顧問のニコラ・サーニ氏へ行ったインタビューである。ナム・ジュン・パイクなどの現代作家とのコラボレーションも行うサーニ氏は、現代の音楽劇の総合芸術としての性格を、インターメディアという言葉で定義し、音の役割を他の要素 との関係性を明らかにしながら説明する。このインタビューは、論文「現代演劇における音のドラマトゥルギー」の執筆にあたって、核心的な資料のひとつとなっている。

How is sound structured in space in contemporary theatre? This article is an interview conducted with Nicola Sani, composer and artistic director of the Opera di Bologna. Sani, who also collaborates with contemporary artist such as Nam June Paik, defines the characteristics of contemporary music theatre as a comprehensive art form in terms of intermedia and explains the role of sound, revealing its relationship with other stage elements. This interview is one of the core documents in the paper ‘Sound dramaturgy in contemporary theatre’.
