In the EU, the establishment of a private international law framework for individual actions involving consumers has been considered essential to ensure a proper enforcement of consumer law in a cross-border settings. This paper aims at making professionals operating in the fashion business aware of the scope and the extent of the EU consumer protection in the conflict of laws, by focusing on the conditions that trigger the applicability of the protective regime and on the connecting factors employed.
