The article deals with the interpretatio of chapter 49,22-23 of the Dādestān ī Mēnōg ī Xrad. This text refers to a doctrine, which attributed each soul with a corresponding frawahr, which, in its turn, would be associated with a special star. The same tradition is connected with the presence of 99,999 frahrawr in the area of the Big Dipper, Haftōring, whose presence in the northern hemisphere is opposed to the gates of hell, where other 99.999 demons were located. The present study enters many aspects of this Mazdean tradition.
