Abstract

Homo faber dominant project of modernity, aiming at making the planet completely controllable reaches an unprecedented development in the contemporary infrastructural capitalism, characterised by the intense synchronisation of infrastructures of things, services and experiences. The way connectivity (and the attention it presupposes) is captured is a key element of the infrastructural capitalism. However, we are all experiencing the ruins produced by expansion of homo faber. These are ruins of a heterogeneous (social, environmental and symbolic) nature, but their extent is such that the question of the possibility of life in the capitalist ruins must be addressed. In this context, it is important to address the negative commons and zombie technologies inherited from homo faber, and to work on a politics of care in which curiosity plays a crucial role as a potential opener of possibilities between the capacity to think and the forms of doing.
