This contribution examines the implementation of the Italian minimum income scheme and its adaptation to local contexts, where it has been practically realised. In particular, the experiences of minimum income beneficiaries in the Emilia-Romagna region are considered. This is based on a case study conducted as part of a broader national research project, which is presented here. As will be demonstrated, the experiences of those who have embarked on the 'career' of minimum income beneficiaries highlight the necessity for greater attention to ensure full recognition and enjoyment of social rights. The chapter is structured into three main sections. The first section outlines the analytical perspective adopted, the research questions guiding the study, and the main themes, placing them within a conceptual framework that focuses on the experiential dimension of poverty and public assistance. The second section describes the methodological choices related to sampling strategies, research tools used in the field study, and data processing methods for analysis. The third section is dedicated to the analysis of the empirical material collected. Finally, the concluding paragraph summarises the main findings in connection with the analytical perspective.

Abstract
Finally, the concluding paragraph summarises the main findings in connection with the analytical perspective.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
