The fascicle proposed for facsimile reproduction serves a dual purpose. On one hand, the CISAM Foundation in Spoleto aims to fill an inexplicable gap in its catalog, where this publication was entirely absent. But far beyond this modest reason, there is the desire, and indeed the need, to commemorate, even in this way, the teaching and figure of Franco Bartoloni, whose 110th birthday is being celebrated (he was born in Rome on June 13, 1914), in accordance with the spirit of the new series "Argomenti" in which the publication is hosted, constituting its inaugural issue. As one will notice, even the original booklet of the Beneventan diplomas from which the reproduction is drawn, distributed in a limited edition of 100 copies, bears the number 1.
