Artificial Intelligence is evolving very rapidly and is transforming multiple sectors of society, as well as our daily life. It promises to revolutionise also the cultural heritage sector, with results that are largely yet to be discovered and that we may not even be able to imagine yet. It is therefore important to explore and understand how it can affect the field of cultural heritage and how we can make the most of this technology to preserve, promote and enrich it. Furthermore, it is essential to use this technology responsibly, addressing ethical challenges and working to ensure that cultural heritage becomes truly accessible to all. Only through an interdisciplinary approach and collaboration between cultural and academic institutions, scientists, developers and the public can we enhance and preserve our cultural heritage to make it available for future generations.
