As a conclusion to the essays collected in the volume, this article introduces an interview to Benjamin Ramm providing a reflection on an exemplary episode of 'The Liberal’s' afterlife and its continuing relevance to the present. Moving from the controversial reception of the original journal since its publication in 1822, the article will discuss Ramm’s own attempt to propose a contemporary ‘relaunch’ of the journal: 'The Liberal. Poetry Politics Culture' (2004-2012), a British magazine advocating “a renaissance in liberal parties and the liberal arts” and openly aiming to “rehabilitate Romantic Liberalism”.
