Dialoguing with George Herbert Mead and contemporary sociologists that revisited Mead with new relational perspectives, this chapter intends to investigate if subjectivity is formed and emerges through social relations without being necessarily and always determined by them. Particular attention is given to symbolic mediations considered as a privileged conceptual instrument through which to explain how creativity may develop by way of social relations. The study discusses if and to what extent Mead may have partially contributed to inspire some relational perspectives in contemporary social theories that seek a new relationality between agency and structure.
