Recent research in abandoned Roman cities, such as Suasa, and the latest findings from the urban archaeology of the modern cities of the ancient Piceno and ager Gallicus, such as Senigallia and Ascoli Piceno, have brought to light significant contexts dating back in the early stages of Romanization (III BC). In many of these cases we notice the presence of Picena tradition impasto pottery in constant association with black glazed pottery import- ed from the Thyrrenian area or locally produced but still referable to the presence of Rome. This phenomenon, that occurs in similar situations, albeit in different contexts, shows its significant quantitative consistency. For this reason, in this study it is proposed to read these data not linking them to residual phenomena but rather to the persistence of previous cultural traditions parallel to the acquisition of new cultural models borrowed from the dominant culture. In this sense it seems interesting to note that even on the other Adriatic side, in Dalma- tia, in different periods, similar phenomena can be observed.

Abstract
In this sense it seems interesting to note that even on the other Adriatic side, in Dalma- tia, in different periods, similar phenomena can be observed.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
