Responsible Advanced Design is an approach to responsible, collaborative, and inclusive design based on a conceptual model called ADIR, that relates the processes of Advanced Design with the principles of Responsible Innovation. The Responsible Advanced Design approach was applied to an international cooperation programme involving three Universities from three different countries. The Winter School: Design for Responsible Innovation project was developed in 2020-2022 by the University of Bologna, in collaboration with Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and Tecnológico de Monterrey, with the aim of adapting ADIR methods and processes to real case studies and testing them within three culturally, socially and productively different territories, with respect to thematic areas relevant to each of the three realities considered: gender equality and proximity links in neighbourhoods (Italy); ethical responsibility and sustainable food (Chile); accessibility and involvement for active longevity (Mexico).
