In the context of global challenges and contemporary complexity, it is needed to understand how academia and research in the design field could activate more sustainable and responsible innovation processes, in order to find inclusive, equal and ethical responses to socio-economic and environmental challenges. The concept of Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) has been included in European policies aiming at activating processes of designing solutions able to involve all the actor domains of a territory and at improving the relationship between science, technology and society. Design cultures are strongly connected with Responsible Innovation (RI) and RRI principles and dimensions. This contribution focuses on the intersection between RRI/RI and design in the education field, proposing a model called Advanced Design per/con l’Innovazione Responsabile (ADIR), which is an approach that could be used considering the actor domains defined by the quintuple-helix system. ADIR model is characterised by a collabo- rative co-definition of learning strategies which aim at innovating both involved communities and territories, by adopting design practices to build solutions that are responsible for individuals, for society and for the environment.

Abstract
ADIR model is characterised by a collabo- rative co-definition of learning strategies which aim at innovating both involved communities and territories, by adopting design practices to build solutions that are responsible for individuals, for society and for the environment.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
