The chapter investigates the heterogeneous relationship between automation, job composition, and class structure, in order to illustrate the significance of cross-country contextual differences in moderating the effects of robotisation. Our findings indicate that the relationship between automation and work, far from being a deterministic process, is influenced by the particular structural context in which technology is applied.
