This article is a preliminary survey on the reception history of the Sefer Hekhalot (3 Enoch) in the Renaissance. The Latin mention of this source ("Liber Templorum") by the Jewish convert Paolo Ricci is examined in the broader context of his Christian interpretation of Kabbalah and Hekhalotic literature.
