The Paul Chrzanowski Collection is the most valuable and important donation made to the UCLA - W. A. Memorial Clark Library since the original donation of the founder’s collection, transferred to UCLA’s custody in 1934. Recently Paul Chrzanowski donated another forty properties to the Clark Library, including thirty-eight rare books, one vellum document, and one manuscript. They are largely English in origin and date from 1517–1716. To celebrate this donation, UCLA graduate students and scholars have been invited to choose a work from his collection and develop a poster for the research fair (September 22, 2022) that puts their selection into conversation with one or more objects or volumes connected to their own research. Elisa Antonietta Daniele has contributed with the realization of a poster that has placed in dialogue one critical instance from the HORIZON 2020 - ANIMATE project with the manuscript treatise on gemstones The Gouldsmithes Storehowse (London 1606). ANIMATE has received funding from the EU’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Sklodowska-Curie grant agreement No 101025547.
