This Summer School is located in three different Universities: Ravenna, Faculty for the Preservation of the Cultural Heritage (University of Bologna); Padua, University of Padua, Department of Archaeology; University of Trieste and University of Udine, Trieste, Department of Sciences of Antiquity "Leonardo Ferrero", to facilitate lessons and the visits to the Museums. Participants will have the opportunity to attend courses held by specialists in various fields of history, economy, numismatics, philology, Oriental studies, archaeology and museology. Lessons will concern not only commerce and monetary history, but they will focus on various aspects including classic topics, as iconography, royal ideology and new findings, in the frame of ancient economy from the Mediterranean world to Central Asia. A particular attention will be also paid to modern criteria of cataloguing, minting technique, legal and ethic problems also in relations with aspects emerging from the antiquarian market.

Abstract
