Several books have been published recently on various aspects of the counteraction between digitalisation and labour law. 1 Th is book aims at addressing the same issues with a more comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach, considering all the forms of digitalisation and regulatory matters involved. It has the central theoretical objective to outline the main obstacles and possible ways of providing decent working conditions in the new digital age.

Abstract

Digital transformation of work has recently become the hot topic of labour law research, probably for more than one simple reason. New digital technologies have rapidly spread all over the world in the fi eld of work (as well), and their future seems to be even brighter. We must reasonably expect that its role in economic, as well as work relations will increase both in the short and long term. At the same time, digital technologies and related socio-economic legal changes have serious implications for labour markets and work relations. Above all, digitalisation has given a new impetus to the expansion of non-standard forms of work and a rearrangement of standard employment.
