The expulsion of the Jesuits from the Iberian territories due to the Pragmatic Sanction of Carlos III, caused their arrival at the peninsular ports of the Spanish Crown and, later, their transfer to Italian cities. This repatriation also involved Italian Jesuits who were forced to return to their homelands. This study aims to follow up on the Italian Jesuits who were landed in the city of El Puerto de Santa María and from there extradited to the papal territories where their status as "Italians" influenced their status as exiles.
