This chapter scrutinizes major cultural and production changes that occurred in the fashion system after the Second World War up to today (2021) and the main actors involved into these changes. The first thirty years are about the entry of new players – from Europe, especially with the creation of the new Italian prêt à porter, and from the USA - into a system still dominated by Paris fashion.
