The socio-ecological crises that characterize our current, turbulent age are invested with the collectively understood paradigm of sustainable development. This term, “sustainable development”, has become a mantra in which, when we are presented with it, we all pretend to believe: that, to have truly shared decisions, it is enough to put the representatives of all the countries around the same table; that they can protect and promote the interests and well-being of the entire population of all the territories represented. Within this paradigm, we hold that such a summit of global leaders is able to define the necessary framework of action that is to be applied at all scales; we deem it appropriate to delegate the decisions of this framework, complying with the coordinated action directives directed at territories and people.

Abstract
The socio-ecological crises that characterize our current, turbulent age are invested with the collectively understood paradigm of sustainable development. This term, “sustainable development”, has become a mantra in which, when we are presented with it, we all pretend to believe: that, to have truly shared decisions, it is enough to put the representatives of all the countries around the same table; that they can protect and promote the interests and well-being of the entire population of all the territories represented. Within this paradigm, we hold that such a summit of global leaders is able to define the necessary framework of action that is to be applied at all scales; we deem it appropriate to delegate the decisions of this framework, complying with the coordinated action directives directed at territories and people.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
