Project FORTH (Formation of Teachers for Emerging Challenged Areas in the Philippines, 2018-2023) aims to develop a network of higher education institutions, associations and stakeholders creating a system of quality, motivation and support to teacher training in a number of emerging challenged areas in the Philippines that could serve as a model of teacher training for similar contexts in the world. This chapter briefly reflects on the contribution and the lessons learned by the European partners of the FORTH consortium. It focuses on what the three EU Universities - University of Groningen, the Netherlands; University of Deusto, Spain; and University of Bologna, Italy, - and a Spanish NGO InteRed - were expected to bring to the project and how their representatives experienced cooperation with the Philippine partners.
Il progetto FORTH (Formation of Teachers for Emerging Challenged Areas in the Philippines, 2018-2023) ha l'obiettivo di sviluppare una rete di istituti di istruzione superiore, associazioni e stakeholder che creino un sistema di qualità, motivazione e supporto alla formazione degli insegnanti in una serie di aree sfidanti ed emergenti nelle Filippine, che possa servire da modello di formazione degli insegnanti per contesti simili nel mondo. Questo capitolo riflette brevemente sul contributo e sulle lezioni apprese dai partner europei del consorzio FORTH. Si concentra su ciò che le tre università dell'UE - l'Università di Groningen, nei Paesi Bassi, l'Università di Deusto, in Spagna, e l'Università di Bologna, in Italia - e una ONG spagnola, InteRed, avrebbero dovuto apportare al progetto e su come i loro rappresentanti hanno vissuto la cooperazione con i partner filippini.
