Starting from Foucault, this paper examines the federal election programmes of the six major parties with regard to their conception of the post-election world, the influence of the prevailing discourse in this regard, and the role of covid in the construction of a post-pandemic world. With one exception, the notion of the post-election world is shaped by the prevailing climate change discourse. Especially for one of the parties that is in government since then, this world is a post-pandemic world to be constructed from covid.
