Costruire pace e conoscenza : il silenzio come esercizio di sensibilità

The reason for this title lies in adhering to Montessori's invitation to Montessori's call to work for the building of inner peace and peace in humanity as a whole; a theme that is so urgent in these times full of lacerations. Among my research interests is the valorisation of corporeal-meditative practices as ways of self-knowledge-experimentation, of opening up to the inter-relational dimension of existence. They are receiving scientific accreditation with reference to the cultivation of the wholeness of the person and the transversality of life's skills (new frontier of training and education). I believe that they can find in the commitment of Montessori - both in her intuitions1 as much as in her own life, rich of encounters with places, people and cultural sensibilities2 - a fertile ground of pedagogical legitimisation.
